"Litigious Bastards" Googlebomb
The 'Litigious Bastards' campaign is an attempt to create a 'Google Bomb' so that a Google search for the phrase litigious bastards will return www.sco.com or www.caldera.com as the first result.
This campaign is in protest against The SCO Groups attack against Linux users by claiming that their "Intellectual Property" is inside Linux, and by demanding that all Linux users should pay them for a software license.
The SCO Group have initiated court action against IBM, Daimler-Chryser, Autozone, and Novell, yet after more than a year of litigation, they have still not identified any IP belonging to them inside Linux
SCO's intentions seem to be to delay the court cases as long as possible while spreading FUD in the press with the intentions of delaying Linux deployment (to the benefit of SCO's sponsor Microsoft), and to persuade companies that it is cheaper to buy one of their phony licenses, than to contest the issue. At the same time the stock price of SCO has increased by 10 times as greedy investors hope to take advantage of a big payout from the IBM case. SCO executives meanwhile are selling stock at every opportunity.
